We have been telling you for months already about the huge buildup to the ICE Totally Gaming event in London, which took place recently at the ExCeL centre. While you already knew that big developers such as Microgaming would have their own stands, and online casinos and land-based casinos such as the Jackpot Grand would be in attendance, there are also lots of other kinds of companies which have stands or representatives at the event, which creates a lot of great business opportunities for everyone who is involved. One example of this is Manx Telecom, who have been reporting some strong leads gained from the gaming Expo after having attended it alongside gaming professionals for more than 100 countries.

This was the first year that Manx Telecom had their own stand, and they were to be found at number N14-335. There were looking to attract potential clients and go into some partnerships for the year ahead, and so their presentation had a particular focus on big data analytics. The data centre’s director for Manx Telecom, Stuart Paul, spoke after the first day of the event to reveal that “The first day resulted in some strong leads and our team back in the Isle of Man are already working on a proposal for a prospective client. Taking our own stand at ICE for the first time was a big step, but that decision is already starting to produce results. Working with Idiro Technologies on our Intelligent Analytics product we are now firmly in the big data analytics arena. There has already been a lot interest from potential clients keen to find out how Intelligent Analytics can help them develop a better and more detailed understanding of their customers.” They had already worked hard in previous years by attending the event in order to raise awareness of their business in the industry, which certainly helped and is a great tip for those who are looking to make an impact at the exposition in the future.

He added: “Our track record of attending ICE in recent years means that the conversations we are having with potential clients are now much more advanced. The potential clients we are meeting are very knowledgeable and they are looking to us for innovative ideas which enable them to take their businesses to the next level. With products such as Intelligent Analytics we can do just that.” One of the guest and fastest-growing sectors of the data hosting market is big data analytics, which is very important for Internet gaming businesses as it allows them to take commercially useful information out of the huge volumes of data which they generate from their billions of dollars of transactions every single year. It is important for them to identify the high-value players, target direct marketing activity for cross selling or up selling, and try to leverage the player influence within the social network. They can also identify and predict player purchase behaviour through this kind of software.
